PRINTMAKERS MAKE THEIR MARK IN WASHINGTON D.C
Two of Northern Ireland’s most active printmaking workshops for
artists, Belfast Print Workshop, (located in Cathedral Quarter Belfast)
and Seacourt Print Workshop (located in Bangor, County Down) welcomed
the opportunity to fly out to Washington DC to exhibit as part of the
Rediscover Northern Ireland programme and the Smithsonian Institution’s
Folklife Festival. The exhibition titled Renewal is currently showcasing
a selection of 36 prints by local artists from the two workshops.

BPW Annual Show 2006
It’s that time of
year again when Belfast Print Workshop & Gallery kick off the festive
season with their Annual Christmas Exhibition.
This show is traditionally the biggest exhibition in Belfast Print Workshop’s
calendar, and will be based in the year-old Gallery, and also in the corridors
surrounding the Workshop. It provides a great opportunity not only to
view and purchase the original prints, but also to take a look around
the workshop where they are created.
The exhibition opens on Thursday November 30th from 7pm until 9pm, and
is sponsored by our Cotton Court neighbours 2Taps Restaurant.
In association with the Belfast Festival at Queen’s, Belfast
Print Workshop presents 10x10.
10x10 October/November 2006
This joint exhibition explores aspects of identity in
contemporary Ireland, featuring prints by 10 artists from Belfast Print
Workshop, and 10 artists from Cork Printmakers.
Prints are still available to purchase individually
at £175, or as a complete box set at £2500. This would be
a great Christmas gift or Corporation Present.
10x10 opens on Wednesday October 18th at 7pm with drinks reception.
Exhibition continued until November 18th 2006.
