Editioning Facility BPW offers a professional editioning service across a range of fine art printmaking mediums, these include etching, screenprint and relief printing. 'What is an edition?' An original fine art print is an image that has been specifically envisioned and realised as a print and printed, (editioned), by hand to form a collection of the same image, usually in a number no greater than 100. A commercial fine art print is a mechanised reproduction of an existing artwork, (painting, scrulpture etc), and is usually found to be editioned in a much greater number, sometimes of 500 plus. BPW can offer a basic editioning service whereby you provide the matrix, (plate, block etc) and your requiremtnes for editioning will be met. If however you have an idea over an actual matriz but are not a trained printmaker BPW can arrange co-edition where our trained staff will assess your needs and requirements and collaborate with you in a technical capacity to help realise your print. BPW fees for this service are £250 per day. Upon requesting these services you will first be required to come into BPW for a discussion with the Studio Manager who will assess your needs and BPW's ability to meet thses needs. If editioning can be undertaken BPW will advise you of the total costs including daily fees and materials to be used. Contact BPW info@belfastprintworkshop.org.uk |
